Laokasti Villas is a hotel with a restaurant, located in Oia, at the beginning of the Town. Laokasti Villas was built in 1985 and till 2015 had been operated by the same family. Since February 2016 Laokasti Villas and Restaurant has been under new management.
It is located in the most picturesque and beautiful village of Santorini, Oia (pronounced : I - a) and offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Santorini.
The hotel is a complex of 17 fully autonomous villas built in the traditional Santorinian style: 4 Maisonette Suites with Sea View, 3 Deluxe Suites, 4 Suites Pool View and 6 Superior Rooms. Laokasti Villas has a swimming pool with a Pool Bar and spa facilities such as sauna and Jacuzzi. It also has a restaurant that offers creative Greek cuisine with traditional Greek products.
The location of each suite and category varies within the building, as some of them have either a pool view, sea view to the island of Ios or garden view. Some rooms also can have a view of the sunset some months of the year. The suites have balconies or verandas. All villas offer all facilities necessary to enjoy your holidays : air-conditioning, hair dryer, safety box, satellite TV and a kitchen equipped with utensils.

This casual all-suite hotel, in traditional Santorinian-style villas overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, is 15 minute's walk from the Oia castle ruins and 16 km from Santorini Airport.

Santorini
Santorini is a small island located in the southern Aegean Sea with shape created and sculptured by the volcanic eruptions back in the prehistoric time, which formulated the famous caldera.
“Santorini” as a name of the island was first time used by the Latin Empire, and is a reference to Saint Irene - the old cathedral of Perissa – which is a contraction of the name Santa Irini. Before, the island was known as Strogili ("the circular one"), Kallisti (“the most beautiful”) or simply Thera.
Major towns and villages of the island are Fira (capital), Oia (Ia), Imerovigli, Emporio, Kamari, Akrotiri (location of the famous prehistoric Minoan archaeological site) and Pyrgos.
Wine industry is based on the indigenous grape variety, Assyrtiko, and two others, Athiri and Aidani. White wines from the island are extremely dry with a strong, citrus scent and mineral and iodide salt aromas contributed by the ashy volcanic soil. Despite the lack of water on the island and rain during the summer, grapes grow on the eastern slopes, vines are cultivated in a round shaped way to be protected from the strong winds and the vines as well as other plants depend on the scant moisture provided by the common dew.

Superior Rooms are small apartments specially designed for couples or for 2 friends (having either 1 double bed or 2 twin beds). They are traditionally decorated, fully equipped, located either by the pool or in the front of the hotel (next to the main street). They all have a private veranda with a partial view towards the sea (from the side of Ios island), the fields and a garden view.
2. Suite Pool View
Suites Pool / Sea View are apartments specially designed for couples that are more spacious than Superior Rooms. They are traditionally decorated, fully equipped and located by the pool. They all have a private veranda with a view towards the pool, the sea and the sunset from the side of Ios island.

3. Deluxe Suite
Deluxe Suites are very spacious rooms with 1 separate bedroom and either 1 second double bed or 2 twin beds in the living room. These room types are designed for families of 4 persons. Τhey are fully and traditionally decorated and some of them provide private balconies.

4. Maisonette
Maisonette Suites Sea View are spacious apartments of traditional architecture with a loft, specially designed for couples in Honeymoon or families up to 3 persons. Some of these suites are located by the pool, they are fully and traditionally decorated. They all have private balconies, some of them with a wonderful view towards the sea and the sunset (some of the summer months) from the side of Ios island.
